How to integrate eSign Document properties into Scroll PDF exports

Overview

This How To shows how to display eSign Document properties within K15T Scroll PDF exported PDF documents. For example the Document ID and Revision could be inserted on every page footer throughout the multipage PDF.

eSign Document Macros

eSign does provide several inline macros that will be exported into PDF’s using the default Confluence PDF exporter engine (and other third party exporters).

  • eSign Document Header

  • eSign Document History - Table of Revision history

  • eSign Document Signatures

The default Confluence exporter can not put any dynamic property data in the exported PDF header/footer. But using a third party exporter like Scroll does provide this ability.

Adding eSign Document Properties into a Scroll PDF Template

Scroll provides an optional JSON Content Property placeholder that can be added to a Scroll template.
Configure the content placeholders to eSign Document index (“edoc-idx”) property which is stored on each page. The index has a summary of the eDoc document record.

Document properties that may be useful to include in a PDF are below. Paths are case-sensitive.
