Signature Types - Meanings and Controls
Configure the Signature Types table to define this list of Signatures that are applicable by Work Type, Status, Role and Category.
By default Signatures are permitted for all editable statuses for all users with Edit access to that work item. (see Jira Workflow Configuration for information on making workflow states read-only)
Decline To Sign
Enable decline to sign to allow users to respond to Signature invites with a Decline reason and optional comment.
Signature Controls
Linked Category Field
Choose a custom single-select field to link as the Work Item Category. With this field activated Signatures Types will only be available to Work Items that are mapped to this field’s values in the Signature Types table.
User Fields Control
The User Field restriction allows administrators to limit signing to users that are listed in a specific set of fields on each issue. The User Fields list includes all built-in or custom user fields (single-select or multi-select) in the Jira instance. To revert to default settings, remove the fields in the list.
A warning message with the restriction reason will be displayed in the Execute Signature dialog (and the Execute Signature button will be disabled) if the current issue is not able to be signed:
To revert to default settings, de-select all issue fields in the list.
Signature Verification
Use this setting to configure how eSign checks issue field for modifications after signing.
